RED SERIES: PICASSO PEOPLE
I first came across a print of this work while on a cruise in Tahiti and it just spoke to me so much that I had to express my creative gratitude to the originator by my interpretation of this work.
Not unlike the original subject matter from Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein that drew from others these masters transformed these initial inspirations into true art.
This created a flow on that triggered more muse inspired artist to create similar but unique variations of their original pieces.
With nods to Picasso and the vibrancy of pop both our central characters seem to be intensely involved with each other while simultaneously connecting to us the viewer.
This breaking the ‘viewer veil’ is an intimate experience for us and is counter balanced by the aloofness of their own creative world.

I am an artist who loves to paint in a pop art style reminiscent of my influencers Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jackson Pollock, and Jasper Johns.
To rethink retro technology, make it crack and sizzle with a style that rewards the viewer with a sense of contemporary nostalgia, a mind shift from yesterday and all that tomorrow promises.
My collection is organic and flexible in embracing my advertising and film background. I see endless possibilities from abstract looseness, to the defined borders of the hard edge.
Light, the true medium of my art, is in the eternal symbiotic dance with paint and canvas and once embraced, copulates and bears birth to the new entity.
My journey is to create, my desire is to discover, my purpose to seek custodians of my art.
