Artwork Description

High-angle, full shot of a pier extending into a body of water.

The pier is light gray concrete, with a slightly textured surface, and sections that appear to be walkways or platforms. It stretches across the center of the image, from horizon to horizon.

The water surrounding the pier is a mix of turquoise, teal, and deep blue tones, with visible waves and foam. The water transitions into a light reddish-pink and pastel yellow at the horizon line, creating a gradient effect. The color palette suggests a sunrise or sunset view.

The sky above is a muted gray-blue, with soft, pastel-colored clouds across a significant portion of the sky. Rocky outcrops and irregular shapes are visible in the foreground and along the sides of the pier. The image evokes a sense of serenity and vastness.

Artist Bio

David Anton Vretchkoff is a full-time artist living on the Central Coast of New South Wales, where the stunning beaches and dynamic ocean landscapes provide endless inspiration for his seascapes.
Specialising in capturing the essence of both local and iconic Australian coastlines, David’s paintings reflect his deep connection to the natural beauty around him.

For David, the beach is both studio and muse. With the ocean as his constant companion, his work is a reflection of the rhythms, textures, and shifting light of the coastal environment. Through each brushstroke, he seeks to evoke a sense of calm and contemplation, inviting viewers to experience the timeless beauty of Australia’s shores.

His art is more than just a visual experience—it’s an invitation to pause, breathe, and connect with the serenity of the ocean. By sharing this personal journey, David hopes to inspire others to appreciate the quiet power and profound beauty of the sea
