Artwork Description

A sweeping view of The Entrance Channel on the Central Coast of NSW, where the calm waters of Tuggerah Lake meet the powerful Pacific Ocean.
The painting captures the meeting of waterways, sandbanks and rocky reef as waves surge through the channel, creating a beautiful contrast between tranquil inland waters and the energy of the sea.
Rich blues and turquoise tones bring movement and depth to the scene, while the distant shoreline and coastal township give the work a strong sense of place.
The Entrance Channel is a celebration of one of the Central Coast's most recognisable coastal landscapes, capturing its ever-changing relationship between land, lake and ocean.

Artist Bio

David Anton Vretchkoff is a full-time artist living on the Central Coast of New South Wales, where the stunning beaches and dynamic ocean landscapes provide endless inspiration for his seascapes.
Specialising in capturing the essence of both local and iconic Australian coastlines, David’s paintings reflect his deep connection to the natural beauty around him.

For David, the beach is both studio and muse. With the ocean as his constant companion, his work is a reflection of the rhythms, textures, and shifting light of the coastal environment. Through each brushstroke, he seeks to evoke a sense of calm and contemplation, inviting viewers to experience the timeless beauty of Australia’s shores.

His art is more than just a visual experience—it’s an invitation to pause, breathe, and connect with the serenity of the ocean. By sharing this personal journey, David hopes to inspire others to appreciate the quiet power and profound beauty of the sea
