My intention with this abstract expressionist piece was to create a vibrant composition with a sense of fluidity with the shapes where they interlock or flow into each other. Some might see abstracted organic forms (or even plant structures) that are in the process of growth. "Crescita" is the Italian word for "growth".
NOTE: This artwork can be hung without an external frame. In situ photographs that include a frame are for illustrative purposes only. Should you wish to frame the artwork, Bluethumb offer a variety of options.
My paintings are often expressed as simple and balanced compositions. I love using bold blocks of colour and outlines to anchor my designs that (I hope) are sometimes spiritual, fantastical and in the tradition of modern and humanist art. As I develop my paintings, I try not to aim for perfection or precision, instead I focus on an idea, an effect and a mood. My ideas and how I apply them to the canvases are seldom subtle and my intention is for the artworks to be striking and distinctive.
