Artwork Description

This original mixed media piece represents the seasonal quality of our lives: birth, life, death, and rebirth.

I did a series like this last year and this year with Koalas and I wanted to do a kangaroo after the devastating Australian Bushfires of 2020.

The Kangaroo is painted on a farmers almanac from the 1800s and I cut out the little moons from the phases of the moon calendar within the almanac.

This original piece was intended for the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, 2020, which was cancelled due to COVID-19.

Acrylic, spray paint, and vintage farmers almanac print on canvas.

Size: 20cm x 20cm (8" x 8")

Framed with Natural Tassie Oak
