My works are influenced by architectural forms, light, colour and atmospheric surroundings. In my painting “Drifting Clouds”, I am interested in depicting the movement of clouds, highlighted by a setting sun, across a glass structure.
I use spray techniques using professional quality acrylics and painting mediums. The painting is framed and ready to hang.

Artist Bio
Dean O’Callaghan is an Australian artist who works in his own studio in Moora, Western Australia. Dean currently works with acrylic on canvas using spray techniques to achieve smooth, colour and tonal abstract paintings.
His work is inspired by nature and contemporary architecture. He uses digital technologies to develop ideas before working on his canvases. Dean chooses to mix his own colours rather than using aerosols to achieve greater control over his colour palette. His application process involves using acrylic mediums and fixers to provide stability and depth to his paintings.
Dean has over 30 years’ experience in visual arts. He has studied Fine Art and Education at Curtin University of Technology and graduated with a Bachelor of Education in 1990. His work is represented in private collections throughout Australia, England, and the United States.
