Artwork Description

It was definitely a cathartic experience of creating this artwork during a particularly difficult period, which lasted not just for a day but for a whole week, where everything that could possibly go wrong did. Despite the challenges, the act of creating something served as a form of release and provided a sense of comfort and hope. When I now look at this artwork I recognise that even though life can be full of obstacles and hardships, those difficulties are temporary and will eventually pass. This realization serves as a reminder that difficult times are an inevitable part of life, but that they can also be opportunities for growth and personal development.

Artist Bio

Originally, I'm from the vibrant city of Sydney, but life's journey has found me to residing in London and Port Moresby. These days, you'll find me nestled in the lovely fishing village of Manly, Brisbane, where my three incredible children came into this world.

My artistic journey has been an adventure. I've had the privilege of learning from some fantastic mentors like Margarette Looney, Piet Noest and more recently Sandra Temple. I'm a perpetual student, always eager to soak up new techniques, and I'm a big fan of attending art workshops whenever I can.

While I've experimented with various art mediums, my current love affair is with acrylics, inks and texture. There's just something about the way they allow me to play with textures that keeps me hooked. So, whether I'm painting or experimenting with new artistic avenues, you can bet I'm always up to something creative.
