Artwork Description

I captured this moment of my husband and our son at beautiful Stanwell Park, NSW.
I feel that no love is greater than that of a father mentoring his son through lifes challenges. Precious days at the beach when time was of the essence felt powerful in this piece.
I guess for me, it captures a moment where many dads will always be by their son's side, will always have a bond that'll stay strong and a love that'll always be cherished.
Ideal gift for the beach house or a child's room
Framing is required and can be provided with cost by Bluethumb. Thankyou for looking xx
PS: the figures are painted to scale so they look more life like compared to the rest of the painting which I kept more naif for a different perspective.

Artist Bio

Hello everyone!
I have travelled far and wide with my husband's work for 20 odd years to numerous states around Australia and twice to the USA. I suppose you can call me a defence spouse, Army style!
It was during a posting to the US where I became the 'accidental artist', painting local scenes around Leavenworth County, Kansas and selling my art through word of mouth! This crazy journey has inspired me to continue my love for painting scenes throughout Australia
I feel my artwork is, by virtue, the colours I see and the lines that define them. My art is bright, bold, joyful, unique depictions of life around me through numerous journeys I've encountered in a nature loving form. I draw inspiration from female artists in Maude Lewis, Georgia O'Keefe and Heather Brown who created their own distinct styles and a belief in themselves
For me and my art style, I seek collectors who dare to venture into bright pop/ naive/ contemporary art.
I focus mainly on acrylics and black markers using small to medium size canvas or acrylic paper. Certain picture frames are repurposed and matted with love to reduce the landfill we humans love to create.
I want my artwork to be different, a little obscure, very animated, yet recognisable to admire.
I hope to bring a visual flair to those who adore creative, quirky pieces that express pure joy and an illustrative love of life around us. Your blank wall or tiny computer nook may need a dose of gladness to brighten your

Thankyou so much for reading xx
PS:- Some of my artworks have been removed for the upcoming SALA Arts Festival next month in South Australia. Catch me around if you can!
