During the first covid lockdown, I flicked through some old family photos and found wonderful takes of our annual family holiday to the Grampians National Park (Gariwerd), about four hours west of Melbourne, VIC. This painting is from a photo I took from the top of the Pinnacles Lookout in the National Park. I wanted to capture the scene overlooking the lush green bushland and it's farming district. It was important to outline the different greens and yellows, something our country is renowned for and proud of. The rock face to the left is detailed in an animated way to showcase the varying colour of the ancient rock.
I cannot wait to go back and take my family to this natural beauty as it's definately a must see for all in Australia.
