Artwork Description

A posy of hydrangeas straight from the garden onto the kitchen table is a summer treat. Their cool subtle scent is so refreshing. Hundreds of tiny mini-flowers make up each magnificent bloom, and their big silky smooth green leaves provide the perfect background.

Their colours change as summer lingers: the petals become more diverse and muted; white petals become pale pinks and creams. Their beauty intensifies as they age.

This is a small yet complex work, perfect for the dining room, kitchen, sitting room or bedroom. It is composed of many layers of translucent glazes, to capture the complex petals and shiny leaves, and the reflection on the vase .
This painting is created with finest quality acrylic paints, varnished and fitted with d-rings and cord for hanging. Edges are narrow and painted.
