The women are travelling from Kintore to Lake Hopkins - a large expanse of salt lakes to the north of Tjukurla community - an epic journey of the dreaming times. They are singing and dancing on the way and stopping to camp at the rockholes. Deborah learned this traditional design from her mother and the stories associated with it.
Deborah grew up in Tjukurla and has spent time in Melbourne and other major cities painting. Back in Tjukurla , she enjoys working alongside of family members and painting the stories of the region.
