Artwork Description

Mixed Media on wood, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

While walking through a recently burned bushland with my dog, I collected a bag of Xanthorrhoea (GrassTree) globules which had formed in the heat from the fire and began experimenting with it.
The richness of the colour intoxicated my senses. The resin is difficult to work with but is fascinating as it creates it's own patterns and channels on the surface.
Much like our lives, 'Journey' portrays the unpredictability of life. The triptych format represents the different seasons we walk through in our lives.
