A friend of mine gave me two trays of luscious, pearlised inks. I couldn't wait to have a play with this new art material in my studio! After painting the lower section of the painting black, I began dropping blobs of ink onto the upper, white surface. Much to my delight, the inks bled into one another creating a vibrant, rich surface which then cried out for a graphite edge to clarify the organic shapes manifesting within the composition. A thoroughly enjoyable excercise!
