Artwork Description

"Tree of Life: A Tapestry of Australia" is a painting that intricately weaves together the rich tapestry of Australia's history, flora, and fauna into a vibrant tableau of colors and textures.

The branches of the tree unfold like the pages of a history book, revealing scenes from Australia's past. Each branch tells a different story, from the first Indigenous Australians thousands of years ago to the arrival of European settlers, the struggles for survival and adaptation, and the ongoing quest for reconciliation and understanding.

Among the branches, native Australian flora and fauna flourish in abundance, their vibrant colors and intricate details adding depth and dimension to the painting. Kangaroos, koalas, and emus roam freely beneath the canopy, while native birds soar through the air, their melodic calls echoing through the landscape.
The painting serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving and protecting the precious ecosystems and traditions that make Australia truly unique.

Artist Bio

I am a self-taught artist deeply inspired by abstract paintings of rich colours. For me, art is a form of meditation and an inner journey of peace and wellbeing, that strengthens my unconscious self. My creative process is deeply intuitive, often beginning with spontaneous gestures and marks on the canvas that gradually evolve into layers of form and movement. Being a synesthetic, I lose myself in the ever-shifting currents of colour and textures as taste and smell. the visual symphony they create in me may be spotted in my paintings causing emotional depth and fleeting moments.

I am also a poet, academician, and researcher in science.
