Born in 1963, Deidre grew up in Port Lincoln, South Australia. She is one of 10 children with 5 sisters and 4 brothers. As a child she can remember her father telling stories and speaking in language. Sadly he passed away when she was 12. Deidre moved to Ballarat with her family in 1999. She has 7 kids and 8 grandkids. Deidre has no formal training in painting. She has a love of animals and this is expressed in her work.
