My love of all things nautical has led me on this journey. My late father introduced me to sailing as a child and it has been a wonderful sport for me. I have competed in some exciting short and long distance racing but also taken time to enjoy leisurely sails through some of the most beautiful waters in the world. The Whitsunday Islands and the Caribbean evoke such wonderful memories for me. I will never tire of admiring the magical colour of their waters.

I love to capture the experiences of sailors and create a lasting memory of their adventures on the ocean. I love to paint their memories onto their old charts. The charts may be dog-eared and stained but the way-points they have painstakingly marked will reflect their adventures in sailing their boat to their destination.

For those who are not so much into sailing but love the water and sand between their toes, I also love painting ocean and beach scenes with some of the sea creatures and features that make a beach so appealing.

The exciting part for me is that everyone’s memories are different. It is great to work with clients and custom design a painting with their chart and a painting of their boat. They may want it framed and hung with a saddle, shackle, rope or wire from their own boat or one that compliments the memories captured in the painting.
