Original mixed media painting (acrylic paint and modeling paste for texture and depth on the flowers) of a group planting of strelitzia flowers and surrounding foliage. The painting is from a photo I took recently on my walk around the northern end of the Gold Coast where the bird of paradise are flowering everywhere. The bird of paradise is named for closely resembling the tropical bird of the same name and is related to the banana plant. Strelitzia Reginae - 'Bird of Paradise'.
The painting is varnished with professional quality artist’s varnish. This gives a protective surface and a gloss sheen that is soft to the touch and makes the colours beautiful and vibrant. This gorgeous painting features a mixture of blues, greens, yellow and white on the foliage and orange, red and purple on the flowers which really bring this painting to life.
The painting is on a quality round canvas wrapped around traditional wooden stretcher bars with edges that are 2.5 cm deep. The edges are staple free and the painting continues around the edges.
Ready to put on your wall with hanging wire on the back.
I package my art securely in twin walled cartons, with inserted protective layering and lots of bubble wrap.
