Over the years I have tried and experienced all sorts of things in my life. I have travelled overseas, surfed overseas, played music overseas and met lots of interesting and unique people. It has been the abundance of different experiences, challenges, and future goals that led me back to Australia and become a full time artist.

After growing up in Southern California, I left the USA at age 20 to study teaching in Australia. It was here that my love of surfing and art grew stronger. After completing my Bachelors of Arts degree in 2004 from Avondale University in fine art and secondary teaching in 2008, my Aussie wife and I headed back to California. I taught high school art as well as other subjects for a few years. It was during the United States recession that I needed to find another career. I looked into the medical field which lead me to physiotherapy.
I entered the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Loma Linda University with a 4.0 GPA after completing a whole host of prerequisite science classes. I graduated with honors and practiced physical therapy in Southern California in a variety of settings. I have worked in the outpatient and home care setting primarily treating different patients and encountering jaw-dropping scenarios. I like to tell stories of my "adventures" as a home care physiotherapist - keeping everything confidential of course:)
My wife and I always knew we wanted to move back to the Land Down Under and finally after years of paying off massive student debt we were able to relocate our family of four to Catherine Hill Bay, NSW. I am a permanent resident! Because of my physio qualification in the U.S., I am temporarily unable to work as a physiotherapist in Australia.
With my background in visual art, teaching and painting, I now have the opportunity to paint much more! I am a full time artist and painting daily in my home studio in Catherine Hill Bay, NSW.
