The hazy early light before the sun has burned off the thin cover of cloud is a wonderful time to be out, taking a walk, a swim and even better when our furry buddies can join us. I enjoy setting my figures against largely monochromatic backgrounds. Trying to keep the brush work energetic and enjoying how that contrasts against the blended softness of the hazy sky. A barely visible horizon adds to the composition and although we lost our dearest friend last year i aim to capture that unique bond and joy we share with our trusty partners. Living here on the Mornington peninsula means finding that time over summer before the crowds arrive, a time of solitude and calmness, the best time of the day...the year.
