Artwork Description

Visiting Gwalia in WA. and seeing the historic cottages. I so liked this kitchen that I painted it. Especially since my family had a fridge like that when I was a child.

Artist Bio

I cannot remember not being fascinated by shapes, color and design and wanting to recreate things I have seen. I went to Monash University as a mature age student to get my degree, post grad and Masters qualifications.. When I work in 3D I use recycled materials. When I work in 2 D I rely on travel photos I have taken and sketches made on site, memory and my values, belief systems and social conscience to make images that reflect these things. I have retired from the workforce and work full time on my artwork. Prior to retiring I made and sold artwork on a part time basis. My children have grown and have lives of their own. As an artist I hate the marketing side of the equation and am not good at that. I would rather just make art, and have it magically sell but it is a reality that one has to do something to make that happen.,
