It Once Was an Inland Sea

My husband and I spend a lot of time in the central deserts of Australia. The sheer vast size of our country never ceases to amaze us, the fabulous skies and desert vistas, falling away to infinity. This painting is the last piece left from my recent desert series. There are many indicators in the desert of
the underwater past, including fossils and seashells.
