Artwork Description

This artwork bursts with vibrant energy, featuring rich red, golden yellow, and deep orange hues that flow seamlessly across the composition. The delicate floral outlines add an ethereal quality, while the bold splashes of color and dynamic textures evoke a sense of movement and spontaneity. The interplay between transparency and opacity creates depth, making the flowers appear to emerge from the background in a mesmerizing dance of light and shadow.

Framed in a sleek black border with a white mat, this piece is elegantly presented, enhancing its bold yet sophisticated aesthetic. The signature in the lower right corner adds a personal touch, marking it as a unique creation.

Artist Bio

Brisbane-based artist Diana Peel creates impactful floral impasto paintings that capture the beauty and energy of nature. Her pieces transform refined shapes into vibrant landscapes of colour and texture, using a palette knife to build expressive layers in luminous oil paint, giving each surface a tactile quality that resonates with depth and movement.

A diverse creative background has shaped Diana’s journey in painting. Initially trained in music for nine years, she later pursued academic drawing and painting and spent over a decade as an interior designer, refining her appreciation for the transformative power of art in spaces.

In 2016, after moving to New Zealand, Diana began her full-time art career, inspired by the country's botanical beauty. Recently relocating to Australia, Diana continues building her artistic presence as an established artist and sought-after tutor, with works featured in galleries across New Zealand and numerous private collections worldwide.
