Artwork Description

STORY
Magnificent merino sheep appear as a veil on the rugged terrain, being moved in formation by agile sheepdogs, almost in silence. The wild horses stand watching, mesmerised by the unfolding scene.
I grew up on a sheep farm where moving the sheep was an integral part of weekends with my siblings, although I’m sure the talented sheep dogs did most of the work. The sight of this flock being “rounded up” high in the mountains brought back the emotion of fresh, crisp mornings, only this time the late sun warmed the scene providing a backlight so exquisite that even the wild horses stood still, mesmerised
