Artwork Description

STORY
Backlit in the mountain light, these wild horses stood defiantly in the crisp air as a lone musterer and her trusty companion sheepdog approached. High on a hill in the rugged ranges in Southern New Zealand the drama unfolded as the wild horses froze, and time stood still. The mountain surrounding, covered in snow, added serenity to the scene of rare encounter between man and beast, tamed and untamed.
