Mt Warning I

On one of my visits to see my mother who lives nearby, I saw a beautiful sunset. The sun was setting behind Mt Warning and there was just enough light to clearly see the sugar cane in the fields in the foreground.
I tried to capture the gorgeous colours in the sky as well as the cane. Mt Warning has such a distinctive shape which makes it a delight to paint.
The painting reminds me of a fabulous trip with my Mum.

She also likes to paint land and seascapes, nature and things that capture her imagination. She loves bold colours and works in oils, acrylic and water colours.
