I was at the Royal Easter Show and saw a lovely bonsai display - it was against a lime green wall but I immditealy throught it would make an arresting painting particularly with a different background. I seetled on a warm golden background and I think the painting turned out just as I first imagined it would. The hero is definitely the beautiful bonsai and the lovely arrangement of plants in the bowl.
