I started photography in 1967 shooting street scenes while living in Stockholm, Sweden and later in London, England. At this time my photographs were published in The British Journal of Photography.
In 1971 I came to Sydney, Australia continuing street, landscape and portrait photography. While in Sydney I attained a Certificate in Photography at TAFE and completed courses at Point Light Gallery. My work was exhibited at the Photographers Gallery in Newtown and galleries in Balmain and Leichardt.
Now based in Hobart, Tasmania I branched out with other film formats such as 6 x 7 cm and 4 x 5” film. Here I photograph landscape, architecture and street scenes. I develop my photographs with homemade chemistry and print the negatives in my darkroom onto fibre based photographic paper. My work was exhibited at Rain Check Lounge, curated by Emma Bett of Bett’s Gallery Hobart.
I am represented by NOLAN Art Gallery in Hobart where I have a permanent display. I have also had two exhibitions at NOLAN, one with painter Tim Price, titled City and The City.
The medium I use is analogue Black and White photography.
