Artwork Description

'Carve up the future' is a piece of speculative fiction in paint.
A series of icons: the hashtag, @ symbol, swords, band-aid, love heart, and houses float in a kind of flat dream-world map of green and blue. Abstract and disjointed the elements bounce off each other in a kind of free-flowing rhythmic rap. The grotesque and the beautiful sit side by side hinting at a possible future being divided up into parts. Land, ideas, maybe even communication is being carved up in this future place.
