Artwork Description

This is a painting of discarded red roses floating on water, viewed from beneath. It is part of a series exploring floral reflections from above and below.
Viewing things things from alternative perspectives and looking 'beneath the surface' has been a common thread in my practice.

The sea is a gateway to the vast mysterious unknown. Above and below provide differing views, new ways of seeing.
My art practice is intimately connected to water. The sea nurtures and nourishes my body, mind and spirit.
