Aeoniums And Paper Daisies

I am blessed to have a beautiful garden filled with many pickable flowers and plants. This piece was inspired by the purchase of the jug. I bought it home and thought it would be far more useful as a vase than in the kitchen. So instead of putting it away I went into my front garden that is filled with native flowers and picked it a little posy. I added the succulents for a bit of foliage and voila, I had fresh flowers for the side table and a still life styled and ready to paint!

This piece is created using both watercolours and watercolour pencils.

Framed in a beautiful Australian blackwood frame with a double float mount (archival) as pictured in the mock ups.

**This series would suit an upmarket office space as a set or individually, or anywhere an extra special piece is warranted.

Drawing inspiration from her garden and the beautiful surrounds, she has a particular passion for representing house plants, flowers and treasures from her various collections. 'I find inspiration everywhere and am influenced by nature, my garden, and the changing seasons. I find there is beauty in every stage of the life cycle, whether it be the closed bud of a flower, a deteriorated sea shell or an autumn leaf. My main challenge being that time is limited and of all my ideas, only some will find their way to paper!
