Artwork Description

Watercolour on paper, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This artwork comes with an external frame

Occasionally I come across a flower or a plant and simply need to paint it. This piece is inspired by banksia flowers I pilfered from a playground in Queenscliff (Victoria). The bush had the most stunning leaves and as all lovers of the Banksia genus know, all stages of the flowering cycle are incredible. Here the Banksia is keeping company with some native blooms from my garden and a Haworthia succulent.

This piece is created using both watercolours and watercolour pencils.

Framed in a beautiful Australian blackwood frame with a double float mount (archival) as pictured in the mock ups.

**This series would suit an upmarket office space as a set or individually, or anywhere an extra special piece is warranted.

Three cut pieces of orange and two of lemon arranged randomly in the composition on a white background. A small sprig of creamy Callistemon sitting in a little bottle to the left of the composition. A plate of lemon cut into wedges on the right with two lemon wedges between the plate and flower. The background is teal and the surface the composition sits on is antique green. White Nashi blossoms sitting in a crystal shot glass almost in the centre of the canvas, with a wedge of lemon in the bottom left of the composition. The background is antique grey green at the top, and the composition sits on a light grey background. A pink rose bloom in an old jar, sits in the centre of the composition, on top of an old pink book. There is a wedge of lemon to the left of the jar. The background is yellow.
