Artwork Description

Watercolour on paper, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This artwork comes with an external frame

Occasionally I come across a flower or a plant and simply need to paint it. This piece is inspired by banksia flowers I pilfered from a playground in Queenscliff (Victoria). The bush had the most stunning leaves and as all lovers of the Banksia genus know, all stages of the flowering cycle are incredible. Here the Banksia is keeping company with some native blooms from my garden and a Haworthia succulent.

This piece is created using both watercolours and watercolour pencils.

Framed in a beautiful Australian blackwood frame with a double float mount (archival) as pictured in the mock ups.

**This series would suit an upmarket office space as a set or individually, or anywhere an extra special piece is warranted.

Yellow rose in old medicine bottle next to a yellow ceramic jug. Lemons cut into segments and placed onto a crystal plate just off centre on the canvas. A white vase sits in the top left corner and there is kiwi fruit, feijoa, a spoon and fork, scattered around in the composition.A red glass vase sits atop a chessboard, there are shells and an antique fork in the foreground. An empty vintage tea cup on a grey surface sits amongst lemon wedges.
