Don Hill is a Multi Disciplinary Practice having been involved in the Australian Arts Industry for more than 50 years.

I use materials and a palette derived from first hand environmental experiences and previous living conditions.
All of the pieces I create depict the memories of a transient and a wandering past lifestyle.
This is an important theme in my Art.
The works described are organic manifestations and an extension of myself taken from nature and the use of gold leaf and colour
is used to remind the viewer that there is still beauty in the world regardless of how we live and the times we live in.
My practice of using natural substrates was accidental but I cannot explain how it came about except for the fact of using something that is at hand and freely available.
