People's Choice winner in the Seafarers Maritime Art Prize On a recent trip to Hobart, I was entranced by the red and orange hues reflecting in the inky waters. Both vessels are important, however I wanted to give the Aurora a back seat in this painting, to pay homage to the Spirit of Hobart. My Father is a yachtsman, and I have spent many hours gazing at the ocean. My Artist mentor Denis Hardy was also a yachtsman, and incredible at capturing the sea. I would hope he would be proud of this work.
