Artwork Description

This art piece is one within a series of abstract landscapes. The painting is in the style of abstract expressionism. It depicts the landscape that through the use of colour depicts a fracturing.

The painting is sealed with varnish and has a matte black aluminium floating frame. It is a large painting so consider the wall space.

A Certificate of Authenticity is attached.

Artist Bio

My website https://www.dmariart.com/ coordinates with any Bluethumb sales and provides a window into my art.

I am an abstract, mixed media artist whose work thrives on spontaneity and emotional expression that is driven by an intrinsic need to create. Through the use of diverse materials, I allow each piece to evolve naturally, with the materials themselves playing a key role in dictating the final outcome. This process is often deeply connected to my own emotional landscape that is channelled into my work.

Themes in my art vary. From time to time I like to create a series of works to investigate and reinterpret my ideas/emotions/landscape images in multiple forms, pushing the boundaries of abstraction with each new piece.

Through my immersive, ever-evolving process, I engage with the canvas on a visceral level and allow those that view my art to find their own meanings within the layers of colour, texture and form.

I work with acrylic paint, inks, plaster, wood on stretched canvas. I believe my art has many layers – there is the initial view of the painting wholistically, but as you continue to view and focus on different areas new structures emerge.
