The art was inspired by a small area of Parklands called Pirltawardli – A Home of Bush Tail Possum. This area not only honours those timid and enduring creatures, it also holds rich history of dreaming and cultural practices of Kaurna people.
This painting is meant to evoke hope. Despite changes, disruptions and struggles of modern history, the context in which we reside - the sky, The Moon, the Sun, animals and trees - seem timeless.
