Whale Falls - luminous

I use watercolour textures to presents the colours of the sea bottom and use luminous pigment to shows the soul of the beluga whale, and countless lives continue from its body. My camera couldn't fully capture the breathtaking vision of the luminous, but it provides a stunning effect of undersea.

The biological settlement formed by a whale fall can last for dozens or even hundreds of years. In the deep ocean of the North Pacific, at least more than 10,000 organisms depend on the whale fall to survive.
Therefore, it is not an ending but a celebration of life.

Doudou Huang is a Chinese Australian artist with a passion for watercolor, Chinese traditional painting, and acrylic painting.
