I was once a Creative Director in the advertising industry, now I paint as an outlet to my creative drive.
I love capturing faces, nature and birds with loose expressive brushstrokes and colours, and I do this both analogue and digitally. When inspired by a subject I do a pencil drawing first, then scan it and paint digitally. Digitally because it allows me to experiment with brushstrokes, color and textures. I try and keep my work loose and allow the viewer to interpret the image, to feel something and to react to the piece.
It's important to me that the character and mood of the subject comes across and that the piece has visual impact. At this stage of my development as a self taught artist I like to experiment with different techniques and subjects.
