Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
Winter can often seem a dark, cold and bleak season. However, every now and again the sun shines and it can illuminate an otherwise dull day. That was the catalyst for this painting which highlights the vibrancy of a late, wintry afternoon near Mt Torrens, beyond the Adelaide foothills, South Australia (part of the Kaurna and Peramangk lands). The light provided an emerald glow to the low lying hills which contrasted spectacularly with golden hues in foreground hay bales and foliage of gum trees.
Painted with archival acrylic paints and finished with gloss varnish for surface protection. Cotton canvas stretched over durable timber frame, unframed. Minor scuffs on edge. Reverse includes heavy duty D-Rings mounted 10cm down from top as well as a wire fixture suitable for hanging either with a track system or single wall hook. Artwork signed front and back. Every effort has been made to colour match, however, please note artwork colours may vary between the original and image on the screen of your device.
