This is a painting of a photo I took while on a walk in Sydney on the North Walk Trail. Looking up into this enormous tree gave a great sense of air and light.

I loved the excitement and almost unpredictability of the medium! I was also inspired by what can be achieved with watercolours by such artists as Alvaro Castagnet and Robert Wade. However, raising a family and working full-time as a graphic designer left no time for painting. I always wanted to get back to painting and am now very happy to once again have my brush in hand!
