Artwork Description

‘Inflated’ is a boldly graphic piece of work, part of a series of comically bloated chimeras born from the union of mundane, everyday objects and the fleshy folds of the human form. Straddling the lines between fetish and fun, the painting draws you in as much as pushes you away.

Say no to bland and be bold – I want my art to bring a smile to your room. I want it to become a talking point about you, not me or it. Your sense of humour, your willingness to let go and have some fun, to not be afraid to poke your tongue out and bring some bold colour into your life.

Painted in vibrant pinks and aqua blues/greens, ‘Inflated’ is ready to hang and signed on the back.

Artist Bio

I want my art to bring a smile to your room.
A laugh. Some fun. I want it to become a talking point about you, not me or it. Your sense of humour, your willingness to let go and have some fun, to not be afraid to poke your tongue out and bring some bold colour into your life.

Ed is a visual artist from Melbourne with a love for bold graphic shapes, colour and a minimal sense of story telling. Cynical, poppy and fun his art makes a bold statement with the sprit of a large scale print and the individuality of a canvas. Ed grew up in the UK where he trained in graphic design and multimedia in the early 90s. After working as a professional graphic designer in London he made the move to Melbourne in the late 2000's. He continues to work as an award winning art director and brings much of his love for simple, graphic shapes, balance and storytelling to his artwork.

"My work is born from the union between structured, clean, minimal design and shouty, brash advertising. Where geometry and balance meet movement and energy. I use colour and composition to create captured reflections of the world and emotions that surround and bombard us."
