Artwork Description

Some say they are sausage paintings. Some say they are pop interpretations of Surrealist, fragmented nudes. Whichever way you want to look at it ‘WEINER (Chopped’ is a boldly graphic and fun piece of work, part of a new series of comically inflated chimeras born from the union of mundane, everyday objects and the fleshy folds of the human form.

Painted in reverse onto the back of perspex sheet these paintings have a truly vibrant and unique finish with a depth and opacity of colour normally found in images on digital screens. This one in pinks and blues, signed on the back and ready to bring your wall to life.

Artist Bio

I want my art to bring a smile to your room.
A laugh. Some fun. I want it to become a talking point about you, not me or it. Your sense of humour, your willingness to let go and have some fun, to not be afraid to poke your tongue out and bring some bold colour into your life.

Ed is a visual artist from Melbourne with a love for bold graphic shapes, colour and a minimal sense of story telling. Cynical, poppy and fun his art makes a bold statement with the sprit of a large scale print and the individuality of a canvas. Ed grew up in the UK where he trained in graphic design and multimedia in the early 90s. After working as a professional graphic designer in London he made the move to Melbourne in the late 2000's. He continues to work as an award winning art director and brings much of his love for simple, graphic shapes, balance and storytelling to his artwork.

"My work is born from the union between structured, clean, minimal design and shouty, brash advertising. Where geometry and balance meet movement and energy. I use colour and composition to create captured reflections of the world and emotions that surround and bombard us."
