Artwork Description

In this painting Edith has depicted women sitting around a meeting place in Papunya. Next to the women are their digging and dancing sticks that they use for collecting bush tucker and for women's ceremonies. The dots in the background represent the surrounding countryside.

Edith was born in Papunya in 1985. Her mother is Maureen Napangarti Poulson, one of Papunya Tjupi's most consistent painters. Edith often paints the Honey Ant Dreaming for Papunya. She also has country at Kalipinypa from her mother's side. She is married to Mathew Tjungarrayi.
