Artwork Description

This en plein air artwork was painted on-site underneath a Tahitian screw pine while watching the sunrise on a beautiful morning at Mudjimba Beach, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. I wanted to capture the sounds of the leaves rustling together in the salt air breeze and the movement of the light blue and turquoise colors of the ocean with my brushstrokes. Emphasis has also been highlighted with the sunlight shining through the leaves and casting long shadows from the sun as it rises above the ocean horizon. This artwork is ready to hang and gives a contemporary feel to a blank wall without a frame. A white or oak-finished floating frame will enhance the artwork.
