Artwork Description

My work centres on the development of an intuitive visual language inspired by botanical forms, natural systems, and ornamentation. Through repetitive line work and symmetrical compositions, I create imagined organisms and ecosystems that blur the boundaries between plant, animal, and symbol. Working in a limited palette, I use drawing as a slow, meditative process where pattern becomes a way of exploring growth, connection, and transformation. The resulting works invite multiple readings, existing somewhere between scientific illustration, folklore, and abstraction.

Artist Bio

Based in the beautiful Northern Rivers region of Australia, I am an artist and mother of four whose creative practice is deeply inspired by the natural beauty of the coastline I call home. Endless beaches, shifting tides, and the ever-changing light provide a constant source of inspiration, and I find my greatest sense of peace walking along the shore on a sunny day.

My practice centres on drawing and photography, exploring the intricate patterns, textures, and rhythms found in nature. I am particularly drawn to symmetry and fractal forms, capturing the quiet geometry that exists within coastal landscapes and the natural world. Through my work, I seek to celebrate the balance between structure and organic beauty, inviting viewers to pause and appreciate the subtle details that often go unnoticed.
