I began drawing cartoon characters as a child and went on to do work experience several times with cartoonists at the Brisbane Courier Mail and Sunday Sun newspapers. With this , I have developed a unique style that is both meaningful and playful. I specialise in painting portraits and still lifes, capturing the beauty in everyday objects that we often overlook. My work is a celebration of life and the small things that we take for granted with a popart/cartoon twist. I spent many years working in pen & ink which I learnt from the cartoonists but now I mostly enjoy working in colourful acrylics.
