This is a diptych, two paintings created to be hung side by side. This is a painting of two magpies who visited us regularly for many years, often bringing their young ones to meet us.
I noticed being up so close to them that their feathers had a beautiful shine of greens and blues amongst the black. Very smart and beautiful birds when you get to know them.
