Sunset over Freycinet

I came across the inspiration for this artwork as we where walking back to our campsite ,just on sunset in the beautiful Freycinet National Park in Tasmania. The light on the rock was Beautiful , everything had a lovely orange glow , which is what i have tried to capture in the artwork.

I have been creating art since a very early age. I was always encouraged to create by my mum who was a painter and a potter. I spent 20 years as a studio potter.
I have been painting seriously since giving up pottery twenty years ago.
I love pastels and at the moment I am concentrating on acrylic artworks on stretched canvases. I like the brightness and quick drying of acrylic paints.
I get most of my inspiration for my paintings from what is around me.
I am very lucky to live in the very beautiful area of East Gippsland in Victoria.
I am inspired by our diverse range of Flora ad Fauna.
I love the scenery we have in this part of the world.
I love to get out in the bush on my morning walk with my two dogs.
We have everything around us here from lakes, rivers , mountains I never run out of inspiration for my next painting, I just have to look out the door.
