This was inspired by a plant growing in the garden of the Darling Park building in Sydney. I saw the fuzzy red seeds buried among the new growth and couldn't resist painting it. T o find out exactly what it was I had to call the concierge, who called one of the gardeners, who eventually got the information back to me. Many thanks go to these helpful gentlemen!!

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
Born in NSW, I grew up in Sydney and have drawn and painted since childhood. I won 1st prize for painting at age 7, and never stopped painting or drawing. I studied watercolour, composition and life drawing at East Sydney Tech. (Before it was TAFE!) then trained in an illustration studio doing line and tone illustrations for newspaper advertising.
In the early eighties I exhibited and sold many small watercolours at the" Art in the Gardens ' exhibition that was held every Sunday along the railings of Sydney's Botanic gardens. My favourite subjects are mostly landscapes, water or interesting plants or flowers.
