My inspiration comes from the natural world and my love and fascination with the diversity of shapes and colours I find there. I focus on shapes, patterns and colour, flattening out space and perspective to highlight these aspects.
I work in my home based studio in Sydney creating mix media, acrylic and gouache paintings.
My art journey formally started in 2005, when I completed a Transpersonal Art Therapy diploma at the Hornsby College of Complementary Medicine, Sydney. This lead onto completing a Fine Arts diploma at the Sydney Gallery School, Meadowbank, then onto the Northern Sydney Institute. It was here that I studied under the mentorship of Gary Shinfield, a celebrated local print maker and educator.
It is my endeavour to continue my art practice and share my creative response to the awe inspiring natural world that we live in.
