Artist Bio

Elfreda was born in Alice Springs and grew up in Kaltukatjara. She has painted for Maruku Arts as well as Kaltukatjara Art. She is also a weaver of tjanpi (native grasses). She enjoys painting the Kungkarangkalpa (Sevens Sisters) and Minyma (women's business) stories, and her canvases often convey the abundance of the apparently harsh and inhospitable desert lands.
